ALF pleads with Willie to stay home. Willie declines and ALF moans in despair. ALF then reads in the newspaper that one of his favorite movie stars Louise Beaumont moved into Sunset Villa, a retirement home nearby. ALF asks Willie to bring him there so he can see her react to Willie singing the theme to ''Naughty Señoritas.'' ALF then decides to go on his own, and he puts on a red hooded jacket to disguise himself while going over. While outside the home, he overhears two staff that have noticed him. He enters the home and meets three residents. Jack, Bernie, and Rebecca

One thinks he's a talking dog, and Bernie says no pets or visitors after 8 Then Jack says ALF's an alien, then Bernie thinking he meant foreigner says hi to him in Spanish. Bernie then thinks he'll rejuvenate them like in ''Cocoon,'' ALF then mentions he's come to see Louise Beaumont. Rebecca shows ALF where her room is. When he goes in, she gives him the cold shoulder. ALF remarks to the other residents she was nicer in ''Cell Block Serenade'' and the other residents ask him to talk to them instead. He starts to leave but then he can hear the staff outside looking for him. A night minder, Ben then comes in asking what's all the commotion is about. His girlfriend calls him to come back saying the champagne is getting flat. He tells them she's helping him "study" Jack then says that he was told there'd be an 80% chance he could "study" again if he gets an operation. ALF then takes his temperature, a perfect 114.8 but then comments the thermometer tastes funny

The four are playing cards and Jack then laments about his son putting him in the home. ALF then suggests they go to the roof so he can show them where his home planet was. Bernie says it could get them in trouble, which ALF dismisses saying breaking the rules could be fun. ALF knocks on Louise's door and tells her he's going to show them where he's from. Louise is not interested and says she sees a guy with a tire iron outside. ALF laments about her disinterest in her past and she says it's not fun being stuck in a home with strangers, and nothing left to look forward to. ALF asks her to change her mind. ALF then takes her picture with a Polaroid, saying it's one of the nicest moments of his life.

Out on the roof, they all are having a good time and Rebecca mistakes the Good Year Blimp for ALF's ship anticipating being taken. Bernie and Jack then have ALF point to where he's from, and he points to the Tanner house, explaining that his planet exploded. Bernie notices the setup Ben has there with lawn chairs and a radio. They turn it on and everyone enjoys the music. Rebecca thanks ALF for bringing them there, and then Louise shows up for some fresh air. She says she's curious about where ALF is from, and then he tells her to look at the star directly above the Tanner house. ALF then suggests to Louise to talk to the others. Jack and Rebecca are dancing, and ALF tells Bernie to ask Louise for a dance. She asks him and he's a bit nervous about it. While they're dancing, ALF walks over to a dove and ties a note to its foot.

Louise talks about how she used to date Clark Gable. Willie shows up and ALF guesses that he got the note from the carrier pigeon. ALF introduces Willie to them and knows it's time to head home. Louise gives ALF the scarf she wore in "''Stage Door Yanni''" ALF says he wishes he could return the favor, but Louise says he already has. She wishes him a happy Valentine's Day and kisses him. Willie takes him home

Plot Summary

When ALF finds out that one his favorite actresses Louise Beaumont has moved into the Sunset Villa retirement home just a few blocks away, he sneaks out to meet her.
