Some music and themes in this episode resemble the James Bond franchise.
Bob, Augie, and the family pets do not appear in this episode.
Even though the Shumways have a garage, Flo parks the car on the street and walks the groceries into the house.
Blofish has a Goode homolosine projection map of Melmac.
Gordon says George was “kidnapped by alien shrimp.”
Although Blofish’s name on his office door does not have a W, the central wiring display says “Okee-dokey Blowfish” when he enters his security code.
Blofish says he has had a perfect record with quality control for twelve years. Placing this episode in 1951/1952, Blofish has been operating since at least 1939/1940.
Blofish built his model rocket when he was five.
