Nick the Fish

The Gambler is the twenty third episode of ALF's first season. It originally aired on April 6, 1987.

Plot Summary

ALF is concerned that the Tanner family is struggling financially when he finds out about the Tanner's $11,000 balloon payment.

When ALF finds out that Dorothy gambles on horse races with a bookie known as Nick "The Fish" Mints, he decides to place some bets of his own to help the Tanners out of their financial struggles.

When ALF loses $6000 to the bookie, he tries to change all of the garage sale price tags to ridiculous prices to gain the money back and he offers several items from his spaceship including his Bouillabaseball cards to be sold at the garage sale. Nick "The Fish" comes by the house and intimidates Willie into coming up with the money, Unfortunately, Willie scares ALF, who is seen creating his will, prepared to be murdered by Willie. In the end, a set decorator for the movie Jupiter Guys named Carl Buck sees ALF's spaceship and rents it for $6000.
