Moving Out is the twenty-second episode of ALF's second season. It originally aired on March 14, 1988.
Plot[]
ALF is upset about the family moving to San Diego, so he sabotages the house when buyers come to see it.

ALF is reading Willie's taxes and eating his dinner, and Kate tells him to leave both of them alone. When Willie comes home from work, he tells everyone that he got a new job as district supervisor and receives a promotion that relocates him to San Diego, They'll have to move but Willie plans to commute until they find a place. ALF worries that they won't let him come along and Kate says that she'll consider letting him come along if he stop eating Willie's dinner. ALF looks at Willie's food on his fork and thinks.
Act One[]
The next day, Brian comes in the kitchen very early and sees Kate preparing breakfast. Kate told Brian that he used to wake up early when he was a baby and gave Brian a bowl of oatmeal. Lynn comes in the kitchen and grabs a cinnamon roll, Kate asks why she skipped the 30 minute workout, and Kate says the jazzercise host was annoying. ALF comes in the kitchen and tells everyone that he is ready to go to San Diego. Kate gives ALF a bowl of oatmeal. When Willie comes in, ALF asks him if he is ready to work. Willie says that "Big Cheese" would be fine. He sits down and gets the cinnamon roll. ALF tries to take the cinnamon roll away from him until Willie grabs it from ALF's hand. Brian gives Willie a present that contained 3 classic books on tape. When ALF leaves the kitchen, Trevor comes in and joins the Tanners for breakfast. Trevor wishes Willie a good first day at work, and that he should have left earlier to beat the traffic. He also traded Willie's breakfast so that way Willie can eat ALF's oatmeal and Trevor can eat Willie's cinnamon roll. At night, Kate comes out of the bathroom and sees ALF eating crackers on the bed. Willie comes in and tells Kate that he got home late because of his long commute on the freeway. Kate suggests Willie get an apartment down there, but Willie says it would cost too much, so ALF suggests he get 2 female roommates like on "Three's Company" Kate and Willie decide they'll need to move sooner than planned.
Later on some people are seeing the house and Kate sends them away because they want to turn the house into a B&B Lynn talks about not wanting to think about someone else living in the house, and ALF talks about some of his memories of the house.
Act Two[]
At Willie's new job as a district supervisor. He talks on the phone to a woman, Mrs. Spencer, who hasn't gotten her welfare check. He goes into the other room to talk to one of his employees that is loafing around and he asks her about why the check wasn't received. He coldly suggests that she forgot about it. Willie tells him to investigate, and he says he'll finish it after lunch and goes back to his paper. Willie yells at him to do it immediately A staffer, Denise, walks up to Willie and tells him he still hasn't processed payroll, she doesn't have a parking space yet, and a whole bunch of other stuff he hasn't taken care of. ALF is at home and talks to Willie on the phone while he works. Willie tells ALF that he is busy because he does not have time to chat. Willie finds the check for Mrs. Spencer in the wrong file and asks the guy who misfiled it to hand deliver it, interrupting a personal call. He says he doesn't want to take his car into her neighborhood (due to it being a slum) so Willie fires him on the spot, and tells Denise he found her a parking space.
When Willie comes home from work, he talks to ALF about his new job, having to fire someone and spending 6 hours on the freeway. ALF decides that moving is a mistake and has an idea to stop it
Another couple comes to look at the house and Kate tells them about the Ochmoneks. Willie then tries to open the closet but the doorknob comes off, Then bricks fall town the chimney, ann the kitchen cupboard shelves collapses when the door opens. In the hallway the lights flicker and the couple buying the house ask if it's haunted because of a murder occuring there. The bedroom ceiling then has a beam fall . The couple then decides to leave. Willie confronts ALF his and Kate's bedroom about sabotaging the sale of the house, but the ALF convinces him that moving was a mistake because they're moving out of a house they like so he can keep a job he doesn't like, because his at his promotion he's a supervisor instead of doing the good things he enjoys. The family is happy about Willie's decision
Epilogue[]
Kate and Willie discuss the list of damage ALF did that need repairs, and are interrupted by a buyer comes in to see the house. When he's told it's just been taken off the market, he's mad, and tosses a newspaper onto the couch which collapses into the floor, He runs out in shock. ALF pops up and tells Willie and Kate that there is a furnished basement.
