Act One[]
That night Willie and Kate talk to Rex Savage, an event planner about a theme for their party. ALF calls and suggests a luau. Willie suggests it to Mr, Savage. He thinks it's a great idea. Mr. Savage leaves, and ALF comes out of the kitchen, and Willie thanks him in advance for behaving. ALF says his cooperation can be bought, if they renew his Village Voice subscription, and that he can eat all the leftovers. Willie agrees to give him 2 hours to consume them once the party is over.
At Willie's office, his secretary, Delores asks him if he was having any special weekend plans because his caterer called. Willie admits to a small party, and is shamed into inviting her and the other people in his office.
The night of the party, Kate is nervous about the cloudy weather despite Lynn's assurance the weather report was fine. ALF and Brian are in the attic, and ALF is tempted by the aroma of the pig being roasted. Mr. Savage goes to answer a call from his pastry chef. The Ochmoneks come in and remark about the pig, and then Willie's co-worker Mr. Rssmussen shows up with his son Julius. Julius is introduced to Lynn who notices wax on his shirt. He mentions he's a mortician and had a busy day to work due to a bus-train collision. Kate than notices someone she doesn't recognize and Willie says it's their photocopy repairman and his wife. A rainstorm with thunder and lightning start and everyone scurries inside.
Act Two[]
Inside everyone carries in all the food, and Mr. Savage has his assistant entertaining the crowd. Julius tells Lynn a morbid joke about his job. Mr. Savage's assistant, Robert Sherwood, lights a torch, to start a show, and Willie insists it be but out. Willie goes into the kitchen and sees ALF fall past the window. Willie puts ALF in the tool shed, and tells him to stay there, despite his complaints about the party being moved. Brian talks to Julius about his job asking if he could watch sometime, and Julius says to come by Labor Day weekend because it's like their Christmas. Kate tells Willie about possibly going to a movie with the other guests, and Robert drops the torch saying they're easier to catch when lit. ALF sneaks into the kitchen, and sniffs around at the pig on the table. Mr. Savage puts on some music and starts a conga line. One of the guests, George, tells Willie he saw their dog making himself a sandwich, thinking maybe he was drunk. ALF starts coming in dancing to the conga music but is caught by Willie. Willie then takes ALF back into the shed, and ties him up.
Willie finds Lynn outside and she tells him Julius is hanging around with the older guests. Robert introduces himself to Lynn and happy to learn that Julius is not her boyfriend and that she's available. The guests leave, and George says he knows he saw their dog making a sandwich and that they should get him on Letterman. Julius asked by his dad if he's going to say goodbye to Lynn, but he doesn't like her. Rex and Robert leave and Robert says goodbye to Lynn. ALF comes in and asks for the leftovers and is told they're gone.
