Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Hit Me With Your Best Shot is the twenty-first episode of ALF's second season. It originally aired on March 7, 1988.

Plot Summary[]

Willie abandons his belief in pacifism after meeting the hostile father of the bully who's been pushing Brian around.


Teaser[]

ALF is in the kitchen with Kate's sun lamp, to get a tan, but thinks it's not working until Kate touches his nose. She offers ALF some cold cream but ALF mistakes it for ice cream. Brian comes in with his clothes muddy and his bruies on him. He tells his mom that he was in a fight

Act One[]

Kate is cleaning Brian up, and when Lynn comes in he tells her he got into a fight with Bobby Duncan. Kate asks if the fight was over a woman, to which Brian says yes, and then tells Kate it was because Bobby insulted her, When he hit him, he hit back harder. Kate then wants to call Bobby's mother, but Brian didn't want to be called a snitch. Kate keeps wondering if Bobby saw her at her best.


In the garage, ALF has some wooden boards, and tries to show Brian some karate chops. He breaks the first board very well, but when he tries it again, he can't and feels pain in his hand. Willie comes in to see if Brian is ok, and tells ALF not to teach Brian to fight. He then talks about how he was bullied as a kid too, by a guy named Clarence, and it continued until he took his father's advice not to fight back, The next day Brian comes home having been beaten up by Bobby again. ALF then suggests getting revenge, and Willie tries to remind him about what happened to his home planet.

Brian then tells his parents that Bobby told Willie that he must have been desperate to marry Kate and that Lynn was cute. Kate tries to call Bobby's mother, but ALF stops her saying she wasn't home. ALF spoke to Bobby's father and goaded him to come over for a fight. The bell rings and Bobby's father has come over. Willie then apologizes and invites Bobby's father. Bobby's father taunts Kate and Willie, but Willie tries to calm the situation, and Kate tells Bobby's father that she wants their kids to stop fighting. Bobby's father continues is taunts and Willie asks him to leave. He refuses and starts to poke Willie in the chest, so Willie grabs him and pushes him through the open door, and is immediately remoseful

Act Two[]

In the kitchen ALF tells Willie he's arranged for fights with more neighbors. The doorbell rings and the Ochmoneks are there. Willie tries to apologize for anything said to him on the phone, but they are there to congratulate Willie, because they don't like Mr. Duncan either. The Ochmoneks then head out. Kate suggests asking Mr. Duncan over again to talk more seriously. Willie comes into the kitchen to tell ALF, Kate and Lynn that Mr. Duncan is on his way over and to fetch Brian. Mr Duncan comes over and Willie introduces Brian. Kate offers to bring something to which Mr. Duncan asks for a beer. Willie tells Mr. Duncan that he wants the fighting to stop, but Mr. Duncan thinks it's good exercise and it made him what he is today, He taunts Willie again and mockingly repeats what Willie says to Brian. He then starts poking Willie in the face again, and Kate pushes Mr. Duncan out the open door.

Epilogue[]

ALF is in the living room with a punching bag while Kate watches him. Lynn comes home to reveal that Bobby is frightened of Brian now, and no longer picking on him. ALF continues with the punching bag.
