Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow? is the twenty-third episode of ALF's third season. It originally aired on April 10, 1989.
Plot Summary
Jake's mother, Elaine Ochmonek, visits from New York hoping that Jake will come back and stay with her. Jake insists that she receive professional help for her kleptomania before he will consider coming to live with her.
ALF witnesses her stealing a broach from Kate's jewelry box and confronts Jake about it. Jake talks to his mother about it and convinces her to return it, ultimately deciding that he is not ready to move back to New York with her.
