Happy Together is the eleventh episode of ALF's fourth and final season. It originally aired on Nov. 27, 1989.
Plot Summary[]
When ALF and Willie get into an argument, ALF decides to leave and stay with Neal for a while. Neal is excited about it at first, but soon becomes disenchanted and has to gain the courage to tell ALF that it's time for him to leave.

Kate and Willie are watching a sales pitch about Navajo Meadows Timeshares after ALF invited salespeople into the house. Willie goes into the kitchen to give him another lecture
Act One[]
Willie is on the phone with another salesperson to cancel a appointment ALF made about a home flotation tank. Willie orders him to go to the attic for punishment, but ALF refuses and decides to leave. Willie thinks he's bluffing. After a long time Willie thinks he sees ALF hiding somewhere in the yard and goes out to confront him. ALF is rummaging through the trash outside and decides not to go back inside. The automatic sprinklers go on and Willie is soaked..
ALF finds his way to Neal's apartment. Neal shows ALF a snow globe that belonged to his grandmother. ALF breaks it. Neal then tells ALF that he's happy he's over because he wanted to talk to him about the universe. Willie comes over to get ALF and yell at him for sneaking out. ALF then feigns having been physically abused. Neal suggests ALF stay with him for a while, to which Willie says he'll need to prepare for fires.
Act Two[]
A week later, at Neal's apartment, ALF is on the phone with a girl on a chat line and lies about his appearance. Neal comes in and notices a broken window and asks him if he called about an electrician for one of the tenants. He doesn't remember. The doorbell rings and its his landlady, Mrs. Watson. She comes in and is shocked about the mess, and mentions many tennants have complained about him. She says she covered for him saying he's depressed, and also reminds him to do what she hired him to do. ALF then comes out from his hiding place and Neal tells him to start calling back the repair requests
Late at night ALF is listening to Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" very loudly and Neal shuts it off. The neighbors have been banging on the walls. He complains to ALF and he tries to evade the complaints. Police officers knock on the door
At the Tanner's house, Kate and Willie are headed into the living room having heard something. They turn on the lights and find Neal sleeping on their couch. He left his apartment, having been unable to sleep because of ALF. Lynn comes in too, and Neal says he wants ALF gone. Willie tells Neal he should talk to ALF but Neal says he's bad wit confrontations.
They head over to Neal's apartment to find ALF in a food coma. Willie wakes him up and tells him that Neal has something to say to him. ALF still in a sleep stupor then asks Neal what it is. Neal tells him he's going to ask him to leave. ALF accuses Willie of being behind it . ALF thanks him for being nice and Neal tells ALF he can take his time leaving. Just then an electric light on the wall starts sparking and Neal sternly tells ALF to get out. Willie goes to get the car. Neal and ALF talk about things
Epilogue[]
At the Tanners ALF asks about if people missed him, and Willie reminds him of the punishment that was never given.
