For Your Eyes Only is the sixth episode of the first season of ALF.

Plot Summary[]

Prologue[]

ALF throws a surprise wedding anniversary party Kate & Willie, using toothpaste for icing unaware they have plans to go out to see Nicholas Nickelby on stage. Kate and Willie have a taste of the cake before leaving ALF made but when they find out there is Play-Doh in it, they are repulsed. Brian heads out to spend the night with his friend Scott, whose pet turtle just died. Lynn then goes out to console her friend Julie who has broken up with her boyfriend since she doesn't sit for Brian. On their way out ALF spoils the ending of the play for Kate and Willie.

Act One[]

Spending the time alone, ALF listens to a call-in talk radio show hosted by a counselor, Dr. Schrock. A woman named Jody calls in saying she's new in town and people react differently find out she's different form them. ALF calls the show to find out her number, but they won't reveal it so he asks them to give her his number saying to tell her she's found a friend. Moments later Jody calls back and the start chatting. Sometime later the family is in the living room, and ALF gets another call from Jody. ALF has spent much time in the previous days on the phone with her, and Willie & Kate grow tired of it. ALF says that he plans to meet her the following day, but Kate and Willie say that she'll find out he's and alien when she sees him. ALF says that won't happen because Jody is blind. ALF also says he's given Jody a cover story about his past which. ALF laments about not having friends outside the family.

Act Two[]

ALF is in his room playing with a sock puppet and depressed about not being able to meet Jody. Willie, Lynn and Brian try and console him and invite him outside to play. ALF helps Lynn realize about what it is like being in his shoes, and offers to help sneak ALF over to Jody's apartment when Kate & Willie are out so he can meet her. Lynn brings ALF over and gives him a quick pep talk and says she'll be back at 9 sharp. ALF knocks on Jody's door and she invites him in. Jody offers ALF some shrimp hors d'oeuvres, and then ALF he notices cat hairs on the couch and Jody feels embarrassed about not cleaning them all. ALF wolfs down the snack Jody made for him.

Jody wonders if ALF would like to listen to some music, and ALF asks to put something by The Chipmunks. When the Christmas song is playing, thye are interrupted by Lynn knocking at the door letting ALF know it's time to go home. Kate needs them to get back before Kate & Willie get home and catch ALF being out. ALF then asks Jody about meeting again.

Epilogue[]

Lynn and ALF rush back home. Kate, Willie and Brian come back and have bought ALF a pet hamster, to which ALF implies is a delicacy on Melmac. Willie then says he'll return it right away. ALF then tells Lynn that Jody accepted an invitation to come over for dinner
