"Snout" was a colorful character that went on eating binges, pierced his ear, and once took off his clothes and set them on fire.
Mr. Lurch, "Snout's" father, runs a law firm. After "Snout" graduated from college, his father got him a job at the law firm. This caused a rift between "Snout" and Willie, as Willie believes "Snout" has sold out his principles to get himself a cushy job. Willie is also annoyed at the nepotism of the Lurch family, as the only way Willie could get himself a similar job was by applying himself.
