Come Fly With Me

Plot Summary

ALF gets a letter advertising a free weekend at Rancho Estates (and a free talking toaster) in exchange for a time share sales pitch. The Tanners are reluctant to go, but Trevor convinces them that it will be fun and that he can fly them in his friend's plane.

The Tanners decide they could use a vacation, but they are afraid to take ALF, so they assure him that they will bring him back the talking toaster.

When they arrive at Rancho Estates, they discover that ALF has stowed away in Kate's suitcase. They immediately try to plan their trip back home.

At dinner, Trevor eats shrimp although he is allergic to shellfish. Meanwhile, ALF accidentally sets the hotel on fire trying to toast fish. When the Tanners are kicked out of the hotel, they are forced to go home early.

On the way home, Trevor has an allergic reaction to the shellfish and passes out. Since ALF is the only other pilot on the plane, he is forced to take the controls and safely land the plane.

Title Reference

"Come Fly With Me" is a song by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn.

Syndication Cut

There is an unknown scene after where Willie said, "Maybe so we can keep an eye on the pigs......". This was an unfinished sentence before setting to where the Tanners find their hotel room. The cut out scene is commercially unavailable, or possibly even lost.
