Continuity[]
- Gordon says “We’ve slapped together a little cartoon all about it.” This means that the Animated Series episodes are not flashbacks, and may not be an authentic depiction of what happened on Melmac.
- Sir Fritz says this is the 4,031st Wilderness Jamboree and Clam Wrestle. Since it is unlikely the event has been practiced for over 4,000 years, it may have originally have been performed several times a year.
- Gordon and Rick are still considered young and are not yet recognized as adults. This may be in a cultural sense rather than a legal sense, because they not only drive cars, but fly spacecraft in the Orbit Guard.
- When Frank says “Don’t disappoint Grandpa Fusterman,” Rick responds, “But he’s dead.” This means that Melmacians, or at the least the Fustermans, do not believe in an afterlife.
