In this [[ALF Tales]] episode, [[ALF]] and his friends retell the story of Cinderella. Set in 1962, a young girl named Cinderella Fitzgerald falls in love with the rock legend Gordo Shumway. Cinderella's dad suddenly gets married to a woman named Tillie and must share her house with her new step-sisters Janet and La Toya, who treat her very badly. When Gordo tells his manager, the Colonel, about his desire to find a girl to settle down with, he turns the bride search into a massive publicity stunt. When Tillie and the step-sisters find out about the bride search on TV, they go to the concert, and leave Cinderella to do all of the house cleaning.

A dejected Cinderella wishes she had Fairy Godmother to help her. Her Fairy Godmother appears and grants her wishes "which he can't refuse." He gives her beautiful clothes, a Crown Victoria stretch, and tickets to the concert and instructs her to return by a quarter till ten when the wishes will expire. At the concert, Gordo sings his hit song, "Tie My Shoes," and Cinderella impresses him when she sings an improptu duet with him ending with a high note that shatters most of the glass in the auditorium. When a quarter till ten arrives, she promptly runs away. In order to find her, he take one of the Colonel's glass slippers and visits every door in the city in order to find the woman than can shatter the slipper with her voice. When Gordo arrives at the Fitzgerald residence, Tillie and the step-sisters hide Cinderella in the piano and try in vain to shatter the slipper with their voices. Then Cinderella sings from inside the piano and shatters the slipper. Gordo and Cinderella go away together in a "fairy tale" ending.

Glass slipper

Gordo Shumway with the glass slipper that he plans to use to find Cinderella Fitzgerald. She will prove her identity by shattering it with her voice.
