Alone Again, Naturally is the eleventh episode of ALF's third season. It originally aired on Dec. 5, 1988.

Plot Summary[]

ALF faints when he reads an article in entitled "Couple in Barstow Living with Space Alien" because he thinks it is describing his cousin. ALF insists that they drive to Barstow to check out the story to meet them.

Teaser[]

ALF is in the kitchen while Kate and Willie come home with bags of groceries. ALF is upset that the food he wanted is not available on Earth. Kate did bring him a copy of the tabloid The National Inquisitor, ALF goes into the other room to read it. Kate and Willie overhear him scream and fall on the floor. They walk in and see that he's fainted.

Act One[]

Lynn and Brian come in and he wakes up. When asked what happened, he tells them to read an article on page 2 "Couple in Barstow living with Space Alien" Based on the article, ALF surmises that it's his cousin Blinky, and demands to go visit. Willie then reaches Betty Susla on the phone and asks her questions about the alien. ALF convinces Willie to drive him there, During the journey at night, ALF sprays antiperspirant on himself, which makes him choke, so ALF hands him some asbestos. Willie tells ALF he understands how important this is for him. They arrive at the Susla residence. Willie tells ALF he'll go in first to investigate. He rings the doorbell and Betty answers. She used to run a traveling freak show, and shows Willie Billy the Kid's mummified mustache, Her husband, Nick tells Willie there is no alien at the house, but Betty interjects and says that he's only gone temporarily. Betty offers to show Willie a photo of the alien for $10. The photo is just a German Shepherd with antlers on him.Willie thanks her for her time, and prepares to leave. Betty offers to show him photo of the spaceship for another $10. After Willie leaves, Nick tells her that he's tired of living this way but Betty says it's good because she suckered Willie out of $10 When Willie goes back to the car he notices ALF is missing and rings the Susla's doorbell

Act Two[]

The Susla's have captured ALF and tied him to a chair. Betty says that he's just the thing she needs to get her traveling show on the road again. ALF demands to see Blinky, but she doesn't know what he's talking about. Willie rings the bell again and asks to come back in. She closes the door on him, but he rings again so she opens the door with a crossbow pointed at him. He leaves and calls Kate on the phone telling her what happened. ALF complains about his captivity, but Betty talks to him about how he'll make them rich. Betty and Nick get ready for bed, and ALF struggles to escape. He knocks over something, and Willie manages to get in by opening a window. ALF tells him he doesn't know what they've done to Blinky, so Willie shows him the photo. Nick comes into the room with a crossbow warning them not to move. Willie tells him that ALF has unimaginable powers that he only uses when they're in trouble. ALF understands Willie's bluff and joins in making childishly scary noises, while Willie tells Nick to run. Nick tells them both to leave, because he doesn't want go on another show with his wife and wants to retire. Betty comes out, and warns her about ALF's dangerous powers. Willie and ALF then run out the door.

Epilogue[]

Willie and ALF are driving home in the rain. ALF is talking about being lonely that there are no other members of his species on Earth. They continue talking, but ALF daydreams about seeing another car on the road with his cousin inside. Willie convinces him it was his imagination
