"You're the One Who's Out of This World" is the title of a song that ALF wrote for Lynn, from which he produced a rock video using the instruments that Lynn's boyfriend Scott Maynard was keeping in the Tanner garage (Episode: Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue?).
In the video, ALF dresses as various rock music icons such as Duff McKagan (Guns & Roses) Keith Moon (The Who) Bruce Springsteen, Bill Bruford (Yes) Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Billy F Gibbons (ZZ Top) and Charlie Parker.
ALF sings and plays synthesizer keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, drums, and saxophone in the video.
Willie suggests the key of E-flat for the song, because he believes it to be more euphonious. ALF ultimately records the song in the key of D major.
